Acevector welcomes Achint Setia as CEO for Snapdeal & Stellaro Brands

The company announced that Achint Setia will take over as CEO of Snapdeal and that Himanshu Chakrawarti, the current CEO, will now lead Stellaro Brands, an AceVector subsidiary that specializes in clothing brands like Rangita.

The company that owns Snapdeal, an online marketplace, AceVector, disclosed changes to its leadership on Wednesday.

Over the last three years, Snapdeal and Stellaro have advanced significantly under Chakrawarti's direction, and the company stated that the new agreement will enable him to focus solely on growing Stellaro's footprint.

With almost 20 years of varied experience in e-commerce, marketing, strategy, and technology, Setia assumes leadership at Snapdeal.

Having completed his MBA at the Indian School of Business (ISB), he was most recently the chief revenue and marketing officer at the Singapore-based Zalora Group. He has worked for Microsoft, McKinsey & Co., Viacom18, Myntra, and Viacom18.

In a joint statement, Kunal Bahl and Rohit Bansal, the Co-Founders of Snapdeal, stated that by utilizing Chakrawarti's prior achievements and Setia's extensive background in digital retail and brand development, the new hires will be advantageous to both Snapdeal and Stellaro.

"We have seen tremendous growth at Snapdeal and Stellaro Brands under Himanshu's direction, and this move enables the team to capitalize on his experiences by emphasizing Stellaro's expansion. As the CEO of Snapdeal, Achint will bring a wealth of experience in e-commerce, media, technology, and brand development. These skills will be crucial in helping the company continue on its upward trajectory. We wish both Achint and Himanshu great success in their new roles," they added.
