Yuvraj Singh's YouWeCan Invests In Education Startup Edukart


BANGALORE: Cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s startup YouWeCan Ventures recently invested in Delhi’s online education startup, EduKart. Singh hasn’t revealed about the invested sum, reports NDTV.

"I'm really excited to be a part of the EduKart journey. I have always believed that following your passion is very important in life. At the same time, a focus on education is also a must in today's cut throat competitive environment," said Yuvraj Singh .

Reportedly, the education market place, EduKart, has raised $1 million in a fresh round of funding United Finsec of the Holostik Group, Singh's YouWeCan Ventures, and early stage fund 500 Startups.

The online education startup aids the students to connect to the leading educational institutes, which include Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Toppr, Knowledge Woods, Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Aakash, Copal Partners, Brilliant Tutorials, Digital Vidya, Indian School of Business, Vidyamandir, School Guru, Vskills and Jamboree.

"EduKart can really become your trusted partner in making the right choices," said Yuvraj Singh, ace cricketer and founder of YouWeCan Ventures.

The startup was founded in 2011 by Ishan Gupta and Mayank Gupta as an online platform to access online and distance degree, diploma and certificate courses.

Yuvraj Singh, this year‘s most expensive player in the IPL, is lately focusing on his startup venture and his investment in EduKart was followed by his investment a Delhi-based on-demand logistics booking platform, Moovo. In addition to this, YouWeCan had also invested in Vyomo, mobile market place for beauty and wellness.
