They are shunned for being the weaker sex and are not taken seriously. But with th rise many a women leaders like Indira Nooyi, Christine Lagarde, Oprah Winfrey, and many others, the womenfolk are looked upon as a leader not just at home, but also in the offices. Even after the advancements made, even after breaking records, even after continual achievements, the women are moulded into certain stereotypes, which put all the efforts into vain. If she is a very efficient, hard working boss, she is labeled as the ice-cold, rigid, unemotional, and tyrants. But, the moment she tries to be humane and embrace the concerns of her subordinates, she is looked upon as an easy prey, who is not just emotional but also weak. Their decision to devote their lives to their work, is not gulped down by many, but this has not stopped women from holding the key positions in organizations. When it comes to key meetings, they are expected to be aggressive like their male counterparts, which makes her being labeled as masculine--a sticker that many a powerful women hate. If they attempt to retain their feminine side, they are looked upon as objects of desire, rather than those who would be a better fit to the job. Their anger is taken as a sign of weakness and incompetence. Why to women have to be put into labeled compartments? After all the heights that they are taking their organizations to, do they still deserve to be looked as the fairer sex? Anyways, the women today are paying deaf ears to whatever critics have to say, in order to march ahead on the road to success.
