Vellvette Raises Funds from India Quotient

Bangalore: Mumbai based Vellvette, a subscription based e-commerce portal which deals with beauty products for women in India has raised its first round of capital from India Quotient along with Nitin Agarwal and Siddharth Ladsariya, reports DealCurry.

Vellvette was founded and incorporated in 2012 by Vineeta Singh and Kasuhik Mukherjee targeting women in the country with beauty products through its e-commerce portal. It has a different business model which resembles a U.S. based startup ‘BirchBox’; where women can subscribe to the product at a minimum price of 399 per month. In this package a box would be delivered at one’s doorstep which would contain recommended products for the month and on subscription a woman would also get great discounts when they look to buy the ‘full-size’ product.

Vellvette also boasts of having great brands like Victoria’s secret, The Body Shop, Bath and Body works and many more. The company offers a whole lot of varieties on skin care, beauty, fragrance and bath products.
