BENGALURU: As Internet of Things is making technology even smarter for industries, ten selected Indian startups will participate in the Combined Exhibition of Advanced Technologies (CEAT EC) which will be held in Japan this week. The objective of the event is to bring together people, ideas and technologies which assist in exchanging information on the latest trends and developments.

CEATEC Japan is supported by myriad organizations, governments, and academic societies.  The selected ten Indian startups will participate in the IT event, electronics exhibition and conference which will be held from October 4 to October 7. Economic Times reports that Nasscom has selected startups which develop solutions for domains such as agriculture, logistics, and industrial automation.

Over 300 startups were curated by Nasscom’S Center of Excellence for IoT (CoE IoT) to select 65 startups. These selected startups were then sent a participation invitation for further selection process for CEATEC Japan.  The ten Indian startups selected for the programme will get a fully-funded trip to Japan, and will be given an exhibition booth at the CEATEC where the stratups can display their production or solutions to the organizations, potential investors, enterprises and clients.

Of the ten selected for the CEATEC Japan event, nine startups were previously a part of the Nasscom’s CoE IoT connect programme says Nasscom President, R Chandrashekar. A contribution from CEATEC proves helpful for the startups to grow their businesses on a global scale as IoT is democratizing smart technology in the IT landscape through a network of inter-connected devices. Further, this will help to transform technology in India and will strengthen the relation between Japan and India for the cooperation in the landscape of growing technology.
