Well, anything and everything around has a name today, it is sometimes related and sometimes not.  Only humans have the tendency of naming things, and today we are probably masters in it without any competition. Maybe it is because of this that we often end up fixing most bizarre names for children, pets and every action of our body.

Products and companies take immense care to fix a name because it gradually turns out to be a brand. An entrepreneur would not really want the name that he chose to be a stupid slang in any other language. A lucky draw from a hat

Twitter guys had a serious brainstorming session to find an appropriate word for their company. It all happened in Odeo, San Francisco where the company had its initial base. They had various names for a it’s theme of a mobile phone buzz with an update in your pocket.

After cutting down all the names and narrowing it to Jitter and Twitter, they wrote them down in a piece of paper and put it in a hat, they called ‘Fate’ to decide the name and the picked up chit had ‘Twitter’ on it.

Oh’ it would have been horribly weird if luck picked up “Jitter” because you may probably end up asking your friend – Did you see my latest ‘Jeep’?
