Bangalore: If you are passionate about travels and field trips than JoGuru, a startup that brings a platform to create personalized trips based on traveller’s desires is the best place to visit.

The tech startup based in Pune has developed an algorithm which would optimize the route of the itinerary selected by the user.  It provides fully customizable trip planner integrated with hotel booking and also rearranges travel routine as per optimum order of visiting attractions.

“After an intensive research of about 3 months, we came up with an optimizing algorithm based on the concept of “theory of constraints”. This algorithm optimises the route based on the distance between the attractions, open and close timings and also suggests the optimum travel mode,” says Praveen Kumar, CEO and founder, JoGuru.

With the simple technology of JoGuru one can either refer already created itineraries or create one from scratch as per one’s criteria and style. With already 2500 itineraries travelled on JoGuru in the month of Dec 2013, they have recently added hotels to the planner and are working on a new UX.

Having an End-to-end trip planning platform is not a familiar concept. “The biggest challenge we face is to create awareness of a product like JoGuru to self-planned vacationers. Neither the society nor the Educational system encourages budding entrepreneurs. It is extremely difficult to start without an existing role model. One has to start learning by their own experiences. Not just that, getting a right talent pool is extremely challenging.” adds Praveen.
