How Bangalore Is Transforming Into The "Mecca Of Startups"


Bangalore:  A strong community of Engineers with global work experience, savvy customers and growing pool of early stage investors, are transforming the garden city into a global startup hub, much like Silicon Valley of U.S.A.

"Almost every day a new startup keeps coming up here," said TV Mohandas Pai, a former director of Infosys and a prominent investor backing new technology ventures, reports Economic Times.

He also adds that, despite the problems encountered, like potholed roads, patchy power supply and political instability, entrepreneurs are flocking to Bangalore, because they are drawn by a unique culture of mentorship and networking that pervades the city.

Next month, Sundi Natarajan, an angel investor, who relocated to the city after a decade-long stint in the U.S. as a technology professional and a group of overseas investors, will be launching the first ever global accelerator programme. It will comprise of entrepreneurs from Brazil and U.S. along with Indian-ventures.
