Hotelogix Grabs $1.2 Million Funding From Accel Partners

New Delhi: Hotelogix, the cloud based SaaS (Software as a Service) offering, has raised $1.2 million in funding led by Accel Partners. Blume Ventures and Mumbai Angels were the co-investors in this round of funding.

HMS Infotech was incorporated in March 2008 by Prabhash Bhatnagar and Aditya Sanghi and is headquartered in New Delhi NCR, with sales and marketing offices in Bangalore. Hotelogix is a centralized, comprehensive, flexible, web-based Property Management system offered as a SaaS model. It integrates all the services that a small or mid-sized hotel property would offer its guests, like Front-desk operations, housekeeping, restaurants and others. It also generates higher revenues from the online channels and stays integrated with the external stakeholders of their hospitality business.

Prabhash Bhatnagar, Co-Founder, Hotelogix, said that the small and mid-sized hotel properties face identical operational challenges to those faced by larger, multi-starred hotels; only the scales of operation are different. With the simplest approach to solving this complex problem, creating a hotel and running its operations on the company, is a simple task.

Prabhash is also the Executive Chairman of HMS Infotech. His experience with international customers and his strong insight in translating business intelligence to workable solutions through technology deployment has helped HMS establish Hotelogix in the global marketplace. An electrical engineer from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, he has business and technology experience of over two decades.

The company plans to use the funds to build further foothold on the global market, continuing with the growth rate of establishing customers in more than 40 countries that they have demonstrated in the past two years. Aditya Sanghi, CEO and Co-Founder, Hotelogix, said that they will focus on creating serious inroads into the North and South American markets. With Accel’s global footprint, combined with aggressive and successful track record of Blume Ventures and Mumbai Angels, they are looking forward to leverage their experience in becoming a world-class organization.

Aditya is a Computer Science graduate from Nagpur University and has spent almost a score of years in the industry. Prior to this, he has worked with ABO Software as a Director and Stakeholder, as well as at Envizon, a software company currently managed by his wife.
