Hollywood Inspired Indian Startups Make Sci-Fi's Come True

BANGALORE: You can no longer discard the Sci-Fi technologies shown in a movie as just the magic of the reel. Indian technological startups are prancing ahead in the field developing and deploying such innovative applications that can receive messages from the past and understand human gestures to respond accordingly, reports ET.

Drawing inspiration from the 2007 Hollywood film ‘P.S. I Love You’  Vikas Singh, a former Infosys employee has come up with a similar application. The movie portrays a lady who often receives messages from her expired husband and the startup is making this concept a reality. Psi Phi Labs has developed an application that allows you to send messages by entering the time the message should be delivered, GPS coordinates of the location, and the name of the recipient.

The Bangalore based venture has its own Android App known as Timeport which is compatible with iOS and Android. To access the messages the recipient needs to be at that coordinate at the speculated time and date. "With improvements in technologies in future, it can also project a holographic life sized projection of the person from a gadget," said Singh

"The message once sent, cannot be altered or withdrawn. The intended recipient will get an alert on a gadget stating that someone from the past is looking to connect with them.
