FrontalRain, an Agri-Tech Venture raises 5 Crore from Omnivore Capital
Bangalore: FrontalRain Technologies, which offers supply chain software for agribusiness companies on the cloud, has raised
5 crore from Godrej Agrovet backed fund Omnivore Capital, as reported by yourstory.in.
Founded in Bangalore by 3 senior ex-SAP executives Jayaram Srinivasan, Ravi Mandayam and Sreeram P, FrontalRain integrates the business processes of an enterprise application and combines this with e-commerce, social networking and mobile capabilities to enable clients interact with their suppliers and customers. The company’s Rain+ technology helps mid-sized food and agri companies to do business in a very modern way.
Omnivore Capital which was launched in 2012 with the agribusiness branch of the Godrej Group invests in agricultural financial services, agriculture services, animal science, aquaculture & marine culture, biotechnology, farm equipment, plant science, sustainable inputs and water management in agriculture. The 250 Crore funding firm had made its first investment by acquiring 33% stake in weather forecaster Skymet last year.
FrontalRain is looking forward to escalate its efforts with this funding.
