Mumbai: The online prepaid recharge service provider, Freecharge.in has roped in the former Yatra.com CTO Nag Thota as the CTO of the company. Prior to Yatra.com, Thota has worked with Amazon and Yahoo! and has over 19 years of experience in web and computing infrastructure.

This is the third c-level exit within a short span of time. A few months earlier, the COO of the company Raja Natesan left the company and joined TUI India.

Freecharge.in is a business unit of Accelyst Solutions. Their core focus is to create innovation channels which can deliver value for money to the Indian consumers. Founded two years ago, the company offers recharge coupons for mobile phones, DTH TV and internet data cards. The retail partners include McDonald’s, Barista, Café Coffee Day, Puma, Domino’s, Croma, Shoppers Stop among several others.

Earlier this year in January, the company has raised 20 crore in series A round of funding from Sequoia Capital that they planned to use to add new products, more merchants who can use Freecharge to target consumers and advertise the service to consumers.
