Bangalore-Based Startup Nanobi Analytics Wins Microsoft Contest

Bangalore: Nanobi Analytics, a Bangalore based startup which focuses on developing apps for analytics has won the 2013 Microsoft BizSpark India Startup Challenge, reports Times Of India.

The contest was held across 10 cities and featured 100 start-ups. Having won the first prize, Nanobi Analytics focuses on designing apps ranging from streams like finance, food, wealth, transport, banking education and many more.

The second prize was bagged by IntelloCut, regional winner from Delhi followed by Trutech Webs from Mumbai. The software developed by IntelloCut measures, predicts and optimizes material utilization and productivity for sewn products. Trutech has cloud solutions in multiple areas including financial services.

"The fact that the event this year has seen more startups compete, and that the variety and quality of startups has been fantastic, our belief that the startup ecosystem in India is well and thriving is validated. This next generation of entrepreneurs who are creating smart solutions for the changing needs of today only needs recognition and initial support to thrive”, said Rajinish Menon, Director of Independent Software Vendor (ISV) and cloud strategy at Microsoft India.

CEO of Nanobi Analytics, Mahesh Ramakrishnan said the win gave them access to a mentor network that would help them with their go-to market strategies. He also added, "We want to use the prize money to achieve our business goals and go global."
