Appy Pie Raises $10K On Kickstarter For Game Builder

Bangalore: Appy Pie, a cloud-based apps builder, announces passage of the 100 percent mark in their Kickstarter funding project for their Game Builder Project. On August 26, 2013, the Game Builder project on Kickstarter successfully passed the 100 percent funding level. While Appy Pie has passed 100 percent guaranteeing funding, the Kickstarter project is far from over. The fundraising will continue on Kickstarter for the remaining two days in the 30-day campaign. Backers now know that they will get their Mobile Game for sure because of the project reaching the funding level. Appy Pie's goal was to raise $10,000 to help fund its Mobile Game Builder solution, which makes building a mobile game 'as easy as pie'. The Kickstarter campaign will finish on August 28th 2013 and was aimed at raising funds for Appy Pie's unique mobile game building platform, which will become publicly available in November.

"We are funded and we are so grateful to our backers. We also know that with two days remaining, we are likely to get a lot more backers. This is because many people wait on the sidelines and only jump in once a project is successfully funded. That's ok with us. It is time for everyone to jump in," said Abhinav Girdhar, founder of Appy Pie. "As we have reached our target this has not only validated the Game Builder but has also given us the confidence that our solution is supported by gamers, developers, businesses and individuals."

Game Builder does not require any programming skills and there is no need to install or download any software. Completely cloud-based, Game Builder will enable users to not only create mobile games online with just a few clicks but to also monetize their games by deploying them on iTunes, Google Play and Windows Phone Marketplace. Game Builder is unique in that it is the only web-based game development platform currently available on the market. With it, users can create a hybrid game that works on both mobile and web platforms.

Appy Pie recognized there was no tool available on the market that enabled mobile games to be created without first downloading software or requiring some prior programming knowledge. Game Builder has been designed to keep the entire game building process as straightforward as possible, with only three simple steps needed to create a game; reported by globenewswire.
