Anyone Can Hire A Bike Through Royal Brothers App


BENGALURU: Travelling everyday or in a new city is always a daunting concern for most of the people. Moreover, car rentals sometimes turn out to be very expensive and not everybody would prefer. Alternatively, the next immediate move would be to hire a bike as they offer convenient mode of travelling in a city or while going on a long drive. In fact, it can be the wisest choice and gives heaps of freedom.

Well, good news for the avid travelers! It may come as a relief for many who are looking for an easy medium of transport. A self-ride bike rental startup, Royal Brothers, has recently launched their App and scooter rental services through which bikes can be rented at Rs 18 per hour that encloses the rent for two helmets as well, reports Economic Times (etauto.com).

Manjunath T. N., Co-Founder and Executive Director at Royal Brothers said that, this novel idea had kept popping up many times right from 1997; however the government did not pay heed to the cry. But then, with the help of Ravi Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary, Energy Department, the startup finally managed to launch its services. The self-funded start-up has financially invested in 250 bikes, of which 200 are reserved for Bengaluru and the rest for other cities.

Interestingly, with Royal Brothers App the riders can and ride up to three km without fuel charges and thereon every additional kilometre will be charged Rs 6. In case of any additional fuel filled by the riders the company will then reimburse the amount.

The start-up is also providing their services in Mysuru, Udupi, Mangaluru, Manipal and Goa. The startup has all the clearances from the transport department and booking and payment can be made only through the app. All of these vehicles are GPS-enabled and the company has a fleet of 250 Royal Enfield motorcycles and Honda Activa and Suzuki Access scooters. The parking points in Bengaluru include BTM Layout, Whitefield, Kengeri, KR Puram, Banashankari, Vijaynagar, Byappanahalli and MG Road Metro stations.
