9 Life-or-Death Lessons for Social Entrepreneurs

Be Honest

Being brutally honest with your self is the starting point to be successful as an entrepreneur. A transparent business strategy must be followed to impress share holders and investors. Hyping the size of your target market to epic proportions may seem unnecessary, and if you fail to reach up to that hype it would just not attract any investor and also would spoil the complete reputation of the business. It is very necessary to be restrained and conservative in your projections, such as by overstating your expected costs and expenses, and understating your expected revenues, rather than doing it the opposite way.

Emphasize that you have built a strong teamIt is sometimes the matter of confidence that it takes to promote ones business. It is very important for investors and capitalists to understand that capable people play strong role in the business. Unfortunately developing countries lack brilliant human resource to master each skill in business. India based Husk Power system (a GSBI alumni company) had addressed the same problem and they found a solution by finding their own training entity.  It created The Husk Power University to train workers to staff its 75+ power plants it currently operates.
