As roomies, Mark Zuckerberg and Joe had gotten into trouble with the Harvard administration after creating Facemash. Joe’s dad who was a professor at UCLA cautioned him against being a part of any of the future Zuckerberg projects. When Joe was offered a position as the founding member of Facebook with three percent share in the company, which would be about $3 Billion, he walked out on it to keep his father’s words. “Every once in a while you can have a moment of bitterness but in general I've been so blessed with what I have been able to do," Joe tells Bloomberg Business Week.
