Bangalore: Ryerson University has a new and upcoming business incubator called the Ryerson Digital Media which has added seven Indian teams to its roster of startups based at downtown Toronto campus. This media zone was started in April 2010. It hosts startups and promotes entrepreneurial ideas from students, faculties encouraging them to revolutionize the commerce culture. It also plans to host fellows from China and Israel in coming months.

It had announced the addition of seven teams from Madras, The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and Indian School of Business Hyderabad. Valerie Fox, executive director of the Digital Media Zone said “Technological innovation knows no borders, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, ISB Hyderabad and the Digital Media Zone have much in common: exceptional ideas and driven entrepreneurs. We’re pleased to host our first international fellows, expanding the DMZ’s scope and reach while learning from one another” 

Ryerson Digital Media has welcomed these seven Indian teams as reported by Financialpost.com.
