BENGALURU: The recently released second edition of start-up report by IT industry body NASSCOM has revealed that India ranks third among best global startup ecosystem with more than 4,200 new-age companies launched in 2015. Over the years Indian technology start-ups environment has grown massively with the emergence of young entrepreneurs and their innovative ideas to make the nation a better place. Also the evolution of Indian unicorn startups, whose valuation is over a billion dollar, has spread a sense of confidence among the budding entrepreneurs. Despite the fact of existing red tape and lack of clarity on policy norms have been roadblocks for startups, the generation of tech-savvy youngsters are showing dare to venture into entrepreneurship instead of opting for a corporate life. Thence, by noticing this budding trend Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all ready to spur this spirit by inaugurating ‘Startup India, Standup India!’ campaign. In his last ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme PM Modi promised to unveil the action plan for this youth focused campaign on coming January 16.
