5 Steps to Find a Right Name For Your Startup

Papers must be passed on to the left and every individual would have a set of fifteen names with them. The favorites, at least five are circled from each sheet and are read out aloud. As everyone is reading the names, people should be encouraged to build upon the names and coin a new term altogether.

You must not be surprised to find more than hundred names on the wall, some being extremely stupid and some with great sense. The entire process is not over until you have a small voting session nominating the best three.

In the next few weeks, pull out the list again (including the ones which were not read aloud) and check if the URL is available. Try crossing two words and coining a new word and check its availability for the domain. Pick the best one and don’t wait too long because there is nothing like a perfect name that can tell you a complete story, or something that everyone falls in love hearing it for the first time. All you need is a good name which is pronounce-able, own-able, spell-able and obviously something which has no negative connotations.
