1st Edition of Italy India Innovation Day aims at Inviting Indian Startups, Scale-ups & SMEs

The first edition of the Italy India Innovation Day, which will take place next month, is aimed at inviting Indian startups, scale-ups, and SMEs looking for international opportunities.

AIICP, the India-Italy Association for Cooperation and Partnership, promotes the initiative, which seeks Indian startups, scale-ups, and SMEs with innovative technologies, products, and services, primarily but not exclusively in the mobility, energy, digital, industry, green chemistry, and deep-tech fields.

Large Italian companies will meet the Indian startups and scale-ups including companies that are member of AIICP: Bonfiglioli Riduttori (industrial automation), Danieli (metalindustry), Dell’Orto (mechanics/automotive), Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane (transport/railway) , Fincantieri (shipyards), Generali (finance/insurance) , Marcegaglia (Steel Processing), Maire Tecnimont (chemical/oil & gas) Noonic (digital industry), Piaggio&C. (vehicles), Pininfarina (design/automotive), Sace (finance/insurance), Snam (energy), Intesa San Paolo (banking), as well as Indian corporations such as JSW Group (Steel, Energy, Cement and Infrastructure) (vehicles/automotive), and institutions such as Confindustria (Italian industry association), Italian Embassy to India, Indian Embassy to Italy.

Among the Italian companies meeting with Indian startups and scale-ups at the Italy India Innovation Day 2021 are Enel Innovation Hubs (energy/utility).

The initiative is supported by the Italian Embassy in India and ICE, the Italian Trade Agency.

On July 14, all of these companies will meet with the selected Indian startups, scale-ups, and SMEs in an online pitching section.

Italy India Innovation Day 2021 seeks Indian start-ups, scale-ups, and SMEs with innovative technologies, products, and services, primarily but not exclusively in the fields of mobility, energy, digital, deep-tech, fintech, and green chemistry.

The goal of the call is to connect Indian start-ups, scale-ups, and SMEs with Italian companies and corporations in order to develop potential business agreements in cases of mutual interest.

The project aims to establish potential industrial, commercial, and financial partnerships with Italian companies, and it represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Indian startups, scale-ups, and SMEs that have interesting innovations in terms of products, services, and technologies and want to expand their business to Europe.
