Checkmark is a location based reminder app that reminds people when the user is nearby something. The app makes use of iPhone geofencing feature which alerts the user when he enters and exits a particular location. The company has not raised funding yet and has bootstrapped itself. The company got great appreciation and Cult of Mac called it the "reminders app Apple should have made."
