Turf is an iPhone game that would let the user take over buildings in ones city, rather virtually. It lets the user own buildings which he checks-in to and creates a battle to own others properties. This game is designed with lots of other elements from Mario, SimCity and Foursquare. This startup raised $600,000 from REE and it generated 100,000 check-ins in the first four days.

16. Pebble

Based in: Palo Alto, CA

Pebble is considered to be the most funded project till date. It is a wrist - watch that can be synched with an Android or iPhone; it lets the user play music, shows time, the weather report etc, it in fact lets the user exercise all his activities on his wrist. It managed to raise $10 million through crowd funding and is known to be the innovative form of wearable technology.
