TATA IPL 2024: Ruturaj Gaikwad rises to the second position after CSK vs LSG
Marcus Stoinis achieved his first-ever IPL century, guiding Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) to a six-wicket triumph over Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai in the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL). Stoinis' blistering 63-ball 124 not out propelled LSG to 213/4, overshadowing Ruturaj Gaikwad's century for CSK, who posted 210/4 in their 20 overs, with Gaikwad scoring an unbeaten 108 off 60 balls.
While Virat Kohli remains a standout performer with the bat for the Royal Challengers Bangalore, the team as a whole has struggled to excel. Riyan Parag, the young talent, has been delivering exceptional performances with the bat this season and has solidified his position at number four for the Royals. Accumulating 318 runs at an impressive average of 63.6 and striking at a rate of 161.42, he has been a standout performer.
Sanju Samson, the captain of RR, has been a reliable pillar for the team, delivering consistent performances and steadily climbing up the ranks of batters. With 314 runs to his credit at an impressive average of 62.80 and a strike rate of 152.42, he has been a key contributor and has occupied fifth position in the list.
