Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will face Rajasthan Royals (RR) today in an intense IPL 2025 clash, with both teams entering the match under contrasting narratives. While RCB have been dominant on the road this season, winning all their away games, their home form remains a concern they are yet to register a win at home after three matches.
RCB currently sit fourth on the points table with 10 points from eight matches and will look to climb further with a home win. Virat Kohli, who has been instrumental in RCB’s campaign, highlighted the team’s impressive away performance and stressed the need to replicate that form at home.
On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals are reeling at the bottom half of the table, placed eighth with just four points from eight games. The team is on a four-match losing streak and will be missing the services of their regular captain Sanju Samson. In his absence, Riyan Parag will lead the side once again.
RR’s recent outings have been heartbreaking, with narrow last-over defeats to Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants, failing to chase down modest targets. They’ll be desperate to turn things around and end their losing streak.
Predicted Playing XIs:
Rajasthan Royals (RR): Yashasvi Jaiswal, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Riyan Parag (c), Nitish Rana, Dhruv Jurel (wk), Shimron Hetmyer, Wanindu Hasaranga, Jofra Archer, Maheesh Theekshana/Kwena Maphaka, Sandeep Sharma, Tushar Deshpande
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB): Phil Salt, Virat Kohli, Devdutt Padikkal, Rajat Patidar (c), Jitesh Sharma (wk), Romario Shepherd, Tim David, Krunal Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yash Dayal, Josh Hazlewood
All eyes will be on whether RCB can finally crack the home-game puzzle or if RR can script a comeback under new leadership.
