Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have won the toss and elected to bowl first against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Match 37 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 at the New PCA Stadium in Chandigarh.
With revenge on their minds, RCB are looking to bounce back from a dismal outing in their last clash a rain-hit 14-over game where they slumped to 95/9. Only Tim David showed some resistance with the bat, while the likes of Philip Salt, Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, and Liam Livingstone faltered under pressure.
PBKS, currently third on the points table with 10 points, come into the contest with confidence. RCB trail just behind in fourth with 8 points and a win today could shake up the playoff race.
Punjab Kings are led by Shreyas Iyer, with Australian Josh Inglis donning the gloves. The side also features in-form players like Marcus Stoinis, Marco Jansen, and leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal.
RCB, captained by Rajat Patidar, will rely heavily on Salt and Kohli at the top, with support from power-hitters like Tim David and Romario Shepherd. The bowling unit looks strong with Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood leading the attack.
With both teams eyeing key points, a thrilling contest awaits in Chandigarh.
