Pernod Ricard India Honors Paris Olympics Medallists with NRAI Partnership

To honor India's shooting excellence, Pernod Ricard India partnered with the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) for a sophisticated felicitation ceremony on August 30, 2024, at Kamal Mahal, ITC Maurya, New Delhi. The event celebrated the remarkable achievements of the Indian Olympic Shooting Team, who earned bronze medals at the Paris 2024 Olympics. The evening drew notable sports figures, including Mr. Gagan Narang, Olympic medallist and Chef-de-Mission for the Paris 2024 Olympics, and Mr. Jaspal Rana, renowned sport shooter and pistol coach, along with other distinguished personalities from various sectors.
Mr. Prasanna Mohile, National Head – Corporate Affairs at Pernod Ricard India, expressed his delight, stating, “At Pernod Ricard India, we believe in the unifying power of team spirit and sports is a true reflection of this ethos. Over the years, Pernod Ricard India has been dedicated to nurturing talent and promoting sportsmanship through several key initiatives. One such initiative, 'Raftaar,' is a partnership with Bridges of Sports aimed at developing sprinting talent among underprivileged children. This program benefits over 800 young athletes by providing them with intensive training to enhance their sprinting skills. Additionally, through its collaboration with the Mary Kom Foundation, Pernod Ricard India supports promising female boxers from rural and disadvantaged backgrounds by offering them comprehensive assistance.
Ms. Manu Bhaker, who won two bronze medals in both Individual and Team events, Mr. Swapnil Kusale, who secured a bronze in the Individual Rifle category, and Mr. Sarabjot Singh, who earned a bronze as part of the Team event, were proudly recognized for their outstanding contributions.
The esteemed event highlighted the collective dedication of athletes, coaches, and organizations working to advance shooting sports in India. The NRAI, Pernod Ricard India, and Titus & Co., Advocates reaffirmed their commitment to nurturing excellence in sports and supporting Indian athletes as they strive for greater achievements in the upcoming Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
