Knowing the Unknown - Formula 1

  1. Formula 1 Cars can Drive Up-Side Down: Don't roast me up now, you guys read it right! A modern Formula 1 car could drive upside down, thanks to the aerodynamic force which develops a 3.5g lateral cornering force. However, the technological aspect of the Formula 1 cars makes us wonder in many ways, i.e., a science fan and a casual fan. In fact, experts say that the forces reacting on the F1 car pushes it to the ground, but the car doesn't care whether the ground is below or above. Theory wise, a car could probably drive along upside down in the roof of a tunnel at 120mph. Now imagine, the modern cars doing a Barrel roll at the famous Monaco tunnel! Sounds interesting, uh!
