KKR to Host LSG in Crucial IPL 2025 Clash at Eden Gardens
Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders are set to host Lucknow Super Giants in a high-stakes IPL afternoon clash at the Eden Gardens on Tuesday. Both teams have amassed four points from as many games since the start of the IPL 2025 season, after managing two wins each heading into the contest.
KKR's path has been a mixed bag. Having lost their early matches against Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Mumbai Indians, they came back with victories against Rajasthan Royals in Guwahati and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Lucknow have taken the nearly identical route beginning with a defeat to Delhi Capitals, followed by a win against Sunrisers, stumbling at home against Punjab Kings, and coming back with a convincing win against Mumbai Indians.
Although the teams are on an even keel in terms of current form, LSG have a slight advantage in head-to-head with three victories from five games. But KKR won both matches in IPL 2024, which boosted their confidence as they go into the game.
Both teams looking to achieve a vital third victory set the stage for a hotly contested clash before a capacity crowd in Kolkata.
