Spartathlon
Spartathlon is a 246 km ultra marathon race held annually in Greece since 1983 between Athens and Sparta. The race starts at 7:00 am, usually on the last Friday of September, at the foot of the Acropolis. During the entire course of the race, runners pass through 75 checkpoints, each of which has a specific cut-off time.
