Gujarat Titans Crush Rajasthan Royals by 58 Runs in Dominant IPL Display
Gujarat Titans (GT) delivered a commanding all-round performance to outclass Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 58 runs in their IPL clash at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Sai Sudharsan emerged as the star of the evening, hammering a brilliant 82 off 53 balls, including eight boundaries and three sixes, to guide GT to a massive total of 217/6 after being put in to bat.
Despite the early dismissal of skipper Shubman Gill for just 2, Sudharsan steadied the innings with support from Jos Buttler (36 off 25) and Shahrukh Khan (36 off 20). The finishing touches were provided by Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan, who added valuable runs with quick cameos. Tewatia smashed 22 off 12 balls, while Rashid added 12 runs in just 4 deliveries.
RR’s chase faltered early as GT’s bowlers struck at regular intervals. Sanju Samson (41 off 28) and Shimron Hetmyer (52 off 32) tried to stage a fightback, while Riyan Parag chipped in with a quickfire 26. However, no other batter managed to make a mark, and RR were bowled out for 159 in 19.2 overs.
GT’s clinical bowling display was the perfect complement to their explosive batting. With this victory, Gujarat Titans climbed to the top of the points table, showcasing their form and intent this season.
