 Former French diplomat and a secretary general in Fifa: Champagne who planned to run in 2015 elections, but ­withdrew in February ­because of lack of support. But now itseems like he’s one of them making it to the list. Prominent voice in global football politics, especially in the Middle East, Africa and Asia makes Jerome Champagne a strong contender for the post.

 

Wolfgang Niersbach,
Age: 64

Started his career as sports journalists, Niersbach was a general secretary of the DFB, now, serving as the President of German football Association since 2012 and as member of executive committee in FIFA. Wolfgang supported Ali in the recent voting, but with his vast experience, he is one of the tough competitors in the race.
