Under Rohit Sharma's leadership, India swept the eight-nation tournament, winning against Bangladesh, Pakistan, and New Zealand in Group A before defeating Australia in the semi-finals. In the final at the Dubai International Stadium on March 9, India outplayed New Zealand to win their third Champions Trophy title.
Saikia also highlighted that even the players who did not receive a chance to play in the tournament Arshdeep Singh, Rishabh Pant, and Washington Sundar will get Rs 3 crore. "The 15-member team which won the 2025 Champions Trophy will receive Rs 3 crore each, and head coach Gautam Gambhir too will get the same amount", Saikia informed IANS.
The award is not limited to the players, with other support staff and coaches also being rewarded. Batting coach Sitanshu Kotak, assistant coaches Abhishek Nayar and Ryan ten Doeschate, and fielding coach T Dilip will each get Rs 50 lakh. Other important support staff, such as physiotherapists Kamlesh Jain and Yogesh Parmar, team doctor Aditya Daftary, and throwdown experts Raghavindraa Dvgi, Nuwan Udeneke, and Dayanand Garani, will also get Rs 50 lakh each.
Furthermore, masseurs Rajeev Kumar, Arun Kanade, and Chetan Kumar and strength and conditioning coach Soham Desai will be rewarded with Rs 50 lakh each.

Saikia also made known that the award money provided by the International Cricket Council (ICC) to Team India, which is about Rs 19.45 crore, has been shared only among the players. Every member of the squad has been given Rs 1.43 crore from this fund.
"The BCCI is pleased to reward the players and support staff with this richly deserved honor. Their supremacy in world cricket is the outcome of years of hard work and strategic planning. This win has vindicated India's number one ranking in white-ball cricket, and we are confident that the team will keep on thriving in the years to come," Saikia said in a statement.
He also complimented the players' commitment, saying that their commitment has created a new standard in international cricket. "Indian cricket will continue to raise the bar on the international front," he said.
