Old Trafford (England)

This is the stadium that witnessed one of the most famed moments in the cricket, i.e. Jim Laker’s 19 wicket haul in Test Cricket. Jim dethroned the Australian batting lineup with just conceding 90 in the entire match and taking 19 wickets in the two innings. The popular cricket stadium is always a regular when teams tour England. The stadium was a packed house for the India-Pakistan match during the 1999 Cricket World Cup. Established in 1857, the stadium also witnessed Shane Warne’s ‘ball of the Century’ and Sachin’s first Test Century. Also, the most famous Old Trafford football stadium, Home to Manchester United is just five-minute walk from here. In 1999, the stadium opened Old Trafford Lodge for the spectators and it had 68 rooms out of which, 36 provides the view of the playing surface.
