Volkswagen's All New Concept T-Cross Breeze Unveiled

BENGALURU: With a host of green emission cars being unveiled at the Geneva Motor show, Volkswagen joins the club with unveiling the ‘T-cross breeze’.  This convertible crossover is still in the concept stage and will be based on the platform of the next gen VW Polo, reports IBN live.

"The T-Cross Breeze reflects the new start of our brand," said Klaus Bischoff, Head of Design for the Volkswagen Brand. "We want to stir enthusiasm for ‘New Volkswagen'."

The T-cross Breeze convertible crossover concept is powered by a turbo charged 1-litre gas engine that puts out about 108 Bhp. Mated to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission, the car achieves a top speed of 188 km/h and does 0- 100 km/h in 10.3 seconds. Though low on the performance, the concept car delivers good fuel efficiency of 5l/100km and 115g of CO2 per km.

Either electric or plug-in electric, the company offers about 9 models in the market and is expected to grow to 20 by 2020.  “Our experts have developed fascinating technologies: from 3 to 16-cylinder engines, from natural gas to efficient diesel drives. And here, too, we can and will get even better," Müller said.
