Tata Play Binge Adds BBC Player to Strengthen Global Content Offering

In a key bid to expand its global entertainment lineup, Tata Play Binge has joined forces with BBC Studios to launch BBC Player in India. The deal brings Tata Play Binge's increasing roster of OTT platforms into a new stratosphere by providing consumers with a deep cross-section of British dramas, documentaries, comedies, children's programming, and more.
BBC Player has a range of award-winning shows including Luther, Doctor Who, Top Gear, Pride and Prejudice, and the breathtakingly beautiful nature shows Planet Earth III. It also has fan favourites in the form of The Great British Bake Off, Citizen Khan, Mr. Bean, Grand Indian Hotel, and popular cooking shows by Nigella Lawson and Jamie Oliver. For children, programmes like JoJo and Gran Gran, Junior Bake Off, and Andy's Aquatic Adventures are also on offer.
The added BBC Player content will be available on Tata Play Binge on a broad base of devices such as smartphones, smart TVs, desktops, laptops, tablets, the internet, and the Binge+ Set Top Box. The service aims to provide easy access to a consolidated content experience through one subscription model.
Speaking on the launch, Tata Play Chief Commercial and Content Officer, Pallavi Puri, said, "This alliance reflects our focus towards consolidating the best of international content on our platform for our viewers, in one destination. BBC Studio's high-end storytelling and deep library of highly acclaimed shows are just the right addition to our expanding content portfolio, and we believe users will adore this addition".

As part of its further growth, Tata Play Binge now adds BBC Player to its already vast content universe that comprises Apple TV+, JioCinema, ZEE5, Amazon Prime Video, SonyLIV, Discovery+, Lionsgate Play, Sun NXT, MX Player, Aha, ShemarooMe, Hallmark Movies Now and more.
