Recently, the hotel celebrated the completion of a remarkable transformation that has set a new standard in hospitality. The refurbishment of the Taj Mahal, New Delhi is a testament to its 45-year legacy, blending the cherished echoes of the past with the sophistication of the present in a skillful manner.

The hotel underwent a distinctive transformation which was thoughtfully executed in planned phases over the course of three years. Among the newly redesigned spaces, the Taj Mahal, New Delhi has unveiled a re-imagined version of The Chambers - India’s first and most revered business club. The Chambers now features Albero, a 60-seater restaurant, seven meeting rooms, The Chambers Lounge, a sophisticated bar, and a cigar lounge. Additionally, the Luxury Residences offer fully serviced one and two-bedroom residences with elegant living and dining spaces. Guests can also choose from a bespoke selection of Signature Suites like Raisina- The Grand Presidential, Rambagh The Presidential, and the Maharaja Suite which pays tribute to the legendary symbol of aviation. Finally, the Taj Club offers a variety of curated offerings for guests to enjoy.
House of Ming, a legendary dining destination reinvented; Machan, a gastronomical confluence of the old and the new with an eclectic menu; Captain’s Cellar, a contemporary wine lounge offering an exploration of global and domestic wines with small plates; and Rick’s, the Casablanca-inspired bar for all cocktail enthusiasts and nostalgia seekers, are the epicurean highlights. Varq, the birthplace of modern Indian cuisine in the Capital, remains a much-celebrated gourmet canvas. A grand evening of celebrations witnessed special moments such as - a laser, light and sound show in 45 hues, 45 varieties of artisanal chocolates, 4.5 tier cake and the unveiling of a commemorative plaque –‘45 Years of Taj Mahal, New Delhi– A Legacy, Re-imagined’. Raising a toast to the hotel’s timeless elegance, the grand relaunch brought together esteemed patrons, members of The Chambers, diplomats, and business, social and cultural luminaries. The culinary offerings at the event offered a mix of timeless classics and innovative dishes. The hotel's legendary and new restaurants were showcased in immersive food theatres, providing guests with a unique dining experience. Chef Arun Sundararaj, Director of Culinary Operations at Taj Mahal, New Delhi, and his team prepared a variety of dishes, including Lobster Thermidor, Caviar, Truffle and Cheese carts, Grills and Roasts, Pattar Ka Gosht, Salad and Mushroom theatre, and an innovative dessert bar.
