On Monday, President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended their greetings to the people of Telangana on the occasion of the state’s Statehood Day, marking a decade since Telangana was carved out of Andhra Pradesh in 2014.
President Murmu lauded Telangana as a young state with a rich cultural heritage and a dynamic ecosystem of economic and technological growth. “Warm greetings to the people of Telangana on Statehood Day! This young State has a rich cultural heritage and a vibrant modern ecosystem of economic and technological development. I wish that the people of Telangana march ahead on the path of progress and prosperity,” she said.
Echoing the President’s sentiments, Prime Minister Modi congratulated the citizens of Telangana, recognizing their contributions to the nation’s development. Modi highlighted his government’s efforts over the past decade to enhance the 'ease of living' for Telangana’s people. "Greetings to the wonderful people of Telangana on their Statehood Day. The state is known for making innumerable contributions to national progress”, Modi remarked. “May the people of the state be blessed with success and prosperity”.
