Ministry of Labor & Employment Partners with APNA to Strengthen India's Job Market
Bengaluru: The Ministry of Labor & Employment has partnered with APNA, a prominent job recruitment platform, to boost India’s job market. Through a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the collaboration is set to add over 1 million job openings annually to the National Career Service (NCS) Portal. This initiative aims to expand employment opportunities across the country, making it easier for job seekers to connect with employers. By enhancing the reach and accessibility of the NCS Portal, the partnership strengthens the domestic job market and supports India's growing workforce.
The government views this collaboration as a crucial move to simplify job searches for young professionals and job seekers nationwide. With millions already using the National Career Service (NCS) Portal, the addition of over 1 million new job listings annually is expected to enhance the platform's effectiveness. This increased volume of opportunities will further bridge the gap between job seekers and employers, making the hiring process more efficient and accessible for India’s growing workforce.
Through this agreement, the government and APNA aim to expand employment opportunities to both metro and non-metro cities, ensuring broader access to job listings across urban and smaller regions. By simplifying the job search process, the initiative will provide candidates from diverse backgrounds with equal opportunities to find suitable roles. The National Career Service (NCS) Portal, which currently has over 40 million registered employers, has processed around 44 million job openings since its inception. With nearly 1 million vacancies available at any given time, the portal remains one of India’s most reliable platforms for job seekers.
Emphasis on Inclusive Hiring a key goal of this partnership is to foster equal job opportunities for all, with a particular focus on women and persons with disabilities. The Ministry of Labour & Employment has emphasized that these groups will be given the same opportunities as other candidates. Recruiters will be encouraged to adopt fair hiring practices, promoting a diverse and inclusive workforce across the country.
Seamless Integration for Better Accessibility the integration of APNA's job listings with the National Career Service (NCS) Portal is set to enhance the job search experience, making it more efficient and user-friendly. The government has committed to simplifying both online and offline job application processes, ensuring candidates from all regions can easily apply. Additionally, APNA will benefit from access to NCS's vast database of job seekers, offering employers a wider talent pool. By consolidating job opportunities on one central platform, this collaboration aims to connect job seekers with positions that match their skills and career goals.
