Maruti to Unveil Vitara Brezza in the Third Week of March 2016
The sporty and tangy look of Vitara comes with projector headlights with LED daytime running light, wing mirrors with integrated turn indicators, radiator grills with vertical slats, blackened A & b pillars, chrome strip at the rear with Brezza written on it and plastic cladding around the body. The SUV look is epitomized by high shoulder line, 198mm of ground clearance and square wheel arches with large 16-inch alloy wheels. The vehicle’s higher end comes fully loaded with Smartplay infotainment with CarPlay, inbuilt navigation with Mapcare, reverse parking camera and cruise control with steering mounted controls.
The base variant of Brezza, LDi comes with Bluetooth-enabled audio system, speed sensitive door locks and driver airbag protection along with an additional SUV body kit. The optional and higher variants get passenger airbags and ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System), along with EBD (Electronic Brake-Force Distribution).
The cabin not only has a futuristic layout, it is functional too. What immediately attracts attention is the cockpit-style instrument cluster with mood lights; one can change the cabin lighting colors depending on the mood. In addition, the smart meter clusters, sporty front seats and the versatile flip-folded rear seats stand out.
It is high on personalization. On offer, are theme based options—Glamour, Urban, Sporty and the customer can choose any to match his/her personality. They also have a dual color scheme, where the body and the roof come in different colors.
With the reception Brezza got and the interest it generated at the Auto Expo 2016, it seems that Maruti Suzuki India has hit the right button and is in for a close fight with Renault Duster, Ford Ecosport and Hyundai Creta. After all, it promises to provide style, glamour, power and customization which are something new for ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System), in India.
