The growth of AR technology in the recent years is massive and considering this, VOIR, a technology company which focuses on bringing beauty experience into digital life partners with Guerlain, one of the oldest French perfume, cosmetics and skincare house. The main agenda of the partnership is to implement VOIR’s technology to aid users to try-on Guerlain products using AR.

Jean-Denis Mariani, CDO, Guerlain, comments, “Consumers don't just want to buy something, they want a great customer experience that complements the product; And when it comes to make-up products, we know that it could be difficult for some of them to buy it without testing it. As a result, we worked closely with our partner VOIR to develop a customized virtual try-on tool, allowing our consumers to test in-store many shades of our make-up products notably our star products like Rouge G lipsticks, L'Essentiel foundation or the legendary Terracotta, before buying it. Create seamless experiences, removing all friction points during the whole consumer journey is one of our top priorities”.

Guerlain recently launched its new matte shades of the iconic Rouge G Lipstick and was available for virtual try-on using iPads installed in Guerlain retailers globally. VOIR’s AR solution is driven by proprietary technology of digitization and that uses physical makeup products through scanning, calibration and more. Users can try digitized products with results mirroring that of real in-store try-on.

Founded in 2016, VOIR allows users to create animated emoticons and stickers using its AI and neutral networks. In addition, VOIR’s white label solutions for Brands and Retailers simplify the communication with customers and increases sales. As of now, the app is downloaded by more than 2,800,000 users worldwide.
