Milan Fashion Week

Inaugurated in 1958, this humongous cloth trade show is held semi-annually during February/March of each year and the spring/summer event in September/October of each year. Offering superior quality in fashion, the city hosts over 40 shows every season and biggest fashion houses, including Gucci, Prada, Roberto Cavalli, Dolce & Gabbana, Missoni and Valentino. It is organized by National Chamber of Italian Fashion and the events to women’s fashion are the most important during winter/fall season and the summer events are dedicated to men, which include Menswear and Milano Moda Uomo. The Golden Rectangle (a.k.a Quadrilatero d’Oro) offers some of the world’s best luxury, fashion and jewellery boutiques as well as workshops. At Milan, the famous four streets namely via Monte Napoleone, Via Alessandro Manzoni, Via della Spiga and Corso Venezia host several fashion shows.
