Equitas Bank's New Film Shines Light on Affordable Cancer Care
- Film launched for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
- Tells a powerful story of hope and resilience
- Highlights need for accessible, affordable cancer treatment
Equitas Small Finance Bank has released a moving short film, “Making Cancer Care Accessible”, to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month and spotlight the urgent need for affordable cancer treatment.
Created in partnership with Sringeri Sharada Equitas Cancer & Multi-Specialty Hospital, an initiative of Equitas Healthcare Foundation. The film follows the emotional journey of a woman from an underserved community bravely battling breast cancer. Her story brings attention to the harsh realities many face in accessing timely, life saving care.
The hospital, supported by Equitas SFB, aims to ensure no patient is turned away due to financial constraints. It accepts government healthcare schemes such as Kalaingar Kaappittu Thittam, enabling patients from low income backgrounds to receive treatment with dignity.
Vignesh Murali, Chief Marketing Officer at Equitas SFB, said, “Our mission has always gone beyond banking. This film reminds us that healthcare is a right, not a privilege. We want to give people a fair chance, not just to survive, but to live with hope”.

Through this film, Equitas reinforces its 'Beyond Banking' vision, using its platform to bring awareness, empathy, and real support to communities that need it most.
