Bollywood Actor and Mental Health Campaigner, Deepika Padukone, expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for showing dedicated commitment towards the students' mental health. She is participating on the eighth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) 2025, which will be on the importance of mental health while studying.
Taking to Instagram, Padukone posted a video announcing her participation in the initiative, stating that open conversations on mental well-being cannot be given any less importance. "Pariksha Pe Charcha' is back with its 8th edition! And this time, we'll also be discussing the importance of mental health. Thank you, Honourable Prime Minister @narendramodi, for your commitment to this cause. I look forward to launching our episode… #PPC2025", she captioned her post.
The promo video has a student asking Padukone how to improve their mental health. In response, she advised students to express their emotions openly rather than suppressing them. The Piku actor, who has been vocal about her own struggles with depression, also shared her journey. "I want to thank our Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving us this platform to come out as warriors, not worriers", she said, extending her best wishes to students.
Prime Minister Modi launched Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025 on Monday in Delhi, engaging with students at Sunder Nursery in the first episode to discuss exam stress management strategies. The second episode, featuring Deepika Padukone, will focus on mental health and is set to release on February 12.
The initiative, initiated in 2018, provides an interactive forum where PM Modi addresses students, parents, and teachers about academic pressures and holistic education. Introducing mental health as one of the focused topics this year, it aims to provide students with crucial coping mechanisms in exams.
