Chevy launches Trailblaizer SUV in India at 26.4 lakh
BANGALORE: In the effort to regain its position in the Indian auto industry, General Motors is looking forward to invest $1 Bn in the Indian market. The auto company also has plans to surge the exports from India along with launching 5 new models in upcoming 5 years. The first among those models the Chevrolet Trailblazer just got launched on Oct 21 in India priced at 26.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new model has come as the replacement of Chevrolet Captiva in the Indian market, reports Financial Express.
This new model shares its platform with General Motors’ pickup truck Colorado and has come across a strong competitor against the other body-on-frame SUVs like Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour. The Chevrolet Trailblazer is powered by 2.8-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine tuned to produce 197.13bhp and 500Nm of peak torque at 2,000rpm. Power is delivered a 6-speed automatic transmission to the rear wheel of the car.
The Chevrolet Trailblazer is said to one of the most spacious cars in its segment with length of 4,878mm, breadth of 1,902m, height of 1,834mm and a wheelbase of 2,870mm.
