Bugatti Chiron, The Beast That Tests the Limits of Physics

The Engine and the Exhaust

The Chiron’s engine is 25 percent more powerful than the Veyron, thanks to the new double powered 4 turbochargers that guarantees a maximum torque at 2,000 rpm and maintains it all the way up to 6,000 rpm. In order to use them, the engine needs a minimum of 60,000 litres of air every minute and to handle all that air pressure, the Chiron is fitted with 32 Duplex fuel injectors. The Chiron also gets a new less-restrictive titanium exhaust system, equipped with 4 pre-converters and two main catalytic converters, which are larger than those in the Veyron. Here is a fun fact about the hypercar from Jalopnik.com– the surface area of the exhaust catalyst is 2,30,266 m2, which Bugatti says is the same size as 30 soccer fields.
