Ayodhya's Luxurious 'Tent Cities' Redefine Experiences
The Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA) is preparing for an influx of global tourists ahead of Lord Ram's consecration ceremony on January 22 by developing modern "tent cities". These accommodations, crafted by the ADA, feature luxury and semi-luxury suites designed for double occupancy, offering devotees a chance to experience the fusion of mythological and contemporary Ayodhya while surrounded by natural tranquility. These tent cities are poised to host thousands of devotees, providing accommodations within the evolving landscape of Ayodhya.
As the impending consecration ceremony of Lord Ram's idol at the grand Ram Temple draws closer, the surge of devotees from across the nation and the globe to Ayodhya is anticipated. To accommodate this influx, tent cities have been developed at various locations by both the Shri Ram Mandir Teerth Kshetra Trust and the Ayodhya Development Authority. One such tent city, sprawling across 20 acres at Majha Guptar Ghat, is set to house thousands of devotees. Another establishment, situated near Brahma Kund, will comprise 35 tents, while an additional tent city boasting 30 tents is underway at Ram Katha Park.
Moreover, the Teerth Kshetra Trust is spearheading the creation of a 25-acre tent city at Bag Bijaisi, offering accommodation for numerous visitors. Additionally, tent cities are being readied at Karsewakpuram and Sri Maniram Das Chavni for the convenience of devotees. These tent cities, providing an ambiance reminiscent of 'Heritage Cottage Stay,' will offer devotees a diverse culinary experience, with a focus on Awadhi and Banarasi flavors. The Ayodhya Development Authority has collaborated with private entities to develop the tent cities at Brahma Kund and Ram Katha Park, with the former operational since December 1. Patrons at Brahma Kund can relish millet dishes, makki ki roti, sarson ka saag, and seasonal vegetables.
Additionally, a wide array of local delicacies like Bajra Roti, Matar Ka Nimona, Bati-Chokha, Moong Khichdi, and more will be available. For health-conscious individuals, detox water facilities will be provided. The wooden deck-based tents will boast opulent interiors and amenities, including comfortable seating, sofas, dining areas, personal safes, room heaters, air conditioning, high-speed internet, and luxurious furnishings. Moreover, guests can enjoy bonfires, open-air theaters for cultural events, and souvenir shops. These tents are built for durability and are operational for up to a decade post-installation.
