Apple Resolves Early Morning Outage After Hours of iCloud Disruption

In the early hours of June 25, Apple users experienced a widespread outage affecting several iCloud-based services, including iCloud Mail, Photos, Find My, and account sign-ins. According to Apple’s System Status page, the disruption began around 12:06 AM IST and was resolved by 4:30 AM.
Key services impacted included:
- iCloud Mail
- iCloud Photos
- Find My
- iCloud Account & Sign-In
- iCloud Web Apps (iCloud.com)
The Find My feature, which helps locate Apple devices or share user locations, was specifically affected between 12:10 AM and 3:00 AM. Apple’s official updates noted that 'some users were affected' and may have experienced problems with access or functionality.
Outage-tracking platform Downdetector showed a sharp spike in complaints at around 1:15?AM, with 908 reported issues. Email access made up the bulk of the complaints (50%), followed by server connection problems (26%) and file syncing issues (24%).
Users took to social media to report persistent Apple ID sign-in prompts, failed email deliveries citing 'sender invalid' errors, and interrupted syncing between devices. “My iCloud just randomly stopped syncing”, said one user. Another shared, “I kept getting Apple ID sign-in prompts over and over again”.
Apple has since resolved all issues, and services are now functioning normally.
