Toyota unveils telematics services at Auto Expo


BNEGALURU: The Indian joint venture of Japanese auto major ToyotaKirloskar Ltd unveiled telematics services for its customers at the Auto Expo here.

"The cloud-based telematics services under brand name Toyota Connect will give customers access to our global standard of personalised services from mid-2016," the company said in a statement.

The integrated platform is supported by a call centre and dealer network and service providers as in Japan and the US.

"Our car owners will be able to access the call centre through a smartphone application," Toyota Motor Corporation general manager Makoto Aihara said in the statement.

With host of services like 24X7 assisted navigation and live-traffic information, 24X7 GPS location-based road side assistance, online maintenance appointment booking, live check of service progress, e-payment etc, the dedicated service will support customer's driving and lifestyle needs.
