Sarita Handa launches it's 2nd store in Mumbai

Marking the beginning of a new design and space initiative, Sarita Handa, the 25 year old leading luxury lifestyle company has opened its second store in Bandra, Mumbai. The company launched its flagship store in Delhi in 2011 and then came to Mumbai with their first store in Mahalaxmi. The brand has now expanded in Mumbai with their second store at Bandra.

The new store is the first Sarita Handa outlet to feature the company’s new compact store design comprising exclusively the brand’s beautiful soft furnishings range that has been bringing back to life the old school art of Indian needlework translated into beautiful craft intensive collections with global inspirations.

The Bandra store offers a curated range of home decor with an emphasis on the much loved cushions, beddings and upholstery fabrics. The space facilitates a more customized and accessible shopping experience with on-site interior experts. It is an endeavorer to make the signature Sarita Handa weaves, threadwork, hand embroideries and gifting range more accessible to its patrons. 

Designed against the beautiful Bandra backdrop, the 680 square feet space has oodles of natural light and is very minimal yet welcoming. It promises to be a visual treat blending traditional and contemporary elements embodying the Sarita Handa lifestyle. The foyer features beautiful greens that open into a subtle colored store with brass accents for a bright and warm space. Adding to the birch ply and lighter color palette, the taupe hue in the front facade offers a luxe look.  

“The Bandra store is the 3rd Sarita Handa retail space and the first one of this new format. We are bringing design closer to our patrons and at the same time working at the grass root levels to keep supporting craft and hand work that is so integral to India”, says Suparna Handa, Brand Director at Sarita Handa.

The store also features the brand’s new Spring summer white on white collection. From pristine whites to the signature Sarita Handa florals, the space is a textile treat from the minute you walk in!
